1. Each team is set in the order of ability at your club. If you have 2 teams in the same division you must have your strongest 8 players on one team (ex: Way3) and the next 8 players on the other (ex. Way4). This helps organize the strengths of the divisions.
2.
A player may only play
for one club.
3.
Each team must be in
order of ability.
4.
If a player plays twice
for 2 teams in the same night due to a default etc. He must play at the No. 4
position on the lower team and that match would end up as a default, but played.
The second match on the higher team will count.
5.
If you default a position
it must be the lowest one. Everyone moves up a position. If a default occurs in
one of the upper positions (ex. Pos 2) all matches below (ex. Pos 3 and 4) will
result in a default.
6.
Professionals may only
play for the Division 1 or Division 2. It is up to your particular club to allow
or disallow professionals from playing. You may have a maximum of 2 staff
professionals playing for any team. Professionals must play in order of the
teams ability.
7.
Each player must post 4
matches to their roster for that team to play in any of the post- season
matches. (Playoffs and Challenges). Even though we are not yet policing matches
we ask for your honesty in keeping this fair.
8.
Players must be MAPTA
Dues paying members to play interclub.
9.
A committee will decide
if the league is cancelled due to inclement weather. If the league is cancelled
you may still play your match, but the results will not count. If you do not
play and the league is on, each team will receive a draw.
10.
The MAPTA Mens
Committee includes: Andrew Hocker (Philadelphia Country Club), Tim McAvoy (Waynesborough),
Steve Nycum (Greenville), Simon Peppiatt (Overbrook), and Andrew Sorrentino (Aronimink).
11.
All results must be
received by the end of the next day. This has not been consistent. The
winning team must report the results. If the results are not reported a draw
will be recorded. Please email to overbrooktennis@yahoo.com
or call 610 688 1992.

Thanks and good luck!!!
1.
If you win you receive 1
point
2.
If you lose you receive 0
points
3.

weather call results in a ½ point
4.
The highest scoring team
during regular season will move up a division automatically
5.
The lowest scoring team
during regular season (13 matches) will move down a division automatically.
6.
If 2 teams finish with a
draw in matches won, we will look to the head to head result. If the 2 teams
have played each other twice and won 1 match each we will go to total sets won
throughout the season. If this is a draw, we will look to results against common
opponents.
1.
The top 8 teams from the regular season will playoff for the
tournament championships. The draw will be set using the following rules. 1 and
2 will be placed on the top and bottom of the draw. 3 and 4 will be positioned
by a coin toss for top. 1 will then play 8, 2 play 7, 3 play 6 and 4 play 5.
